Sandra Bland, who was found hanging in her jail cell days after a traffic stop four years ago, may have the case involving her suspicious death and her troubling traffic stop reinvestigated.
It was shocking when news and video first broke of Sandra Bland being pulled over by a trooper and the dashcam showing the officer threatened her with a taser while telling her he would drag her from her car if she did not get out all over a traffic stop for failure to use a turning signal.
Bland was eventually pronounced dead by suicide days later while in police custody.
Following her death many believed that Sandra Bland’s mugshot was staged and she may have been dead already when the picture was taken.
The video of the traffic stop took story of Sandra Bland world-wide.
Now, four years later, new video footage that Sandra Bland filmed herself has surfaced and her family is wondering why it was not used by prosecutors and they want the case re-opened saying the Texas trooper Brian Encinia belongs in jail.
The family feels that the Texas justice system failed Sandra Bland as well as them as her family.
