In a tragic incident outside an East Memphis restaurant on Saturday, Anthony Mims aka Big Jook, 47, the brother of Memphis rapper Yo Gotti and the president of CMG (Collective Music Group), was fatally shot.
The shooting transpired outside Perignons Restaurant and Event Center on Winchester Road, prompting a response from Memphis Police at 4:15 p.m. One man was pronounced dead at St. Francis, while another arrived at the same hospital in critical condition.
Authorities believe Anthony Mims may have been targeted by the shooter. The suspects, who fled the scene in a white Ford Explorer with tinted windows, remain at large. Memphis Police released photos of the suspects’ vehicle, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
