Memphis radio shock-jock and personality Thaddeus Matthews has been indicted following posting a picture of an under-aged girl approximately 5 years old and an adult male in a sexual encounter while hosting his show. The indictment comes after an investigation that was initiated causing Matthews to be arrested for posting the picture on the social network Facebook on last November.
On last year, according to Matthews, he was trying to get help to identify the male perpetrator and get others to help him identify the person in the photo to help save the child after he saw the photo himself which had been circulating.
Now a year later, the shock-jock reportedly found out he was indicted by a grand jury after being contacted by news station WREG this morning.
Matthews feels that his history of shocking people with the realities of what is going on and what local media avoids has a lot to do with it. Matthews also feel that he did nothing wrong and that instead of looking at him, authorities should be trying find out who the person is and save the child in the photo.
The 56 year-old controversial personalty was indicted on three counts of sexual exploration of a minor.
Along with Thaddeus Matthews, two others were also reportedly charged, including two teen girls, a 13 year-old and a 16 year-old for posting the photo on Facebook.
Matthews currently faces two to thirty years in prison if found guilty.
So far, reportedly, the man in the photo still has not been identified.
What is your take on the whole ordeal? Should the authorities be more focused on finding the man and the young victim?
