Love & Hip Hop Atlanta is certainly stirring up a pot of drama nearing the next season. First K. Michelle, who recently signed to Warner Bros and has a new album Rebellious Soul coming, made allegations that cast member Mimi Faust’s boyfriend Nikko was gay and on ‘the down low.’
Then rumors that K. Michelle and Mimi Faust had gotten into a fight, backstage at B.B. Kings in New York, last week, surfaced. This is around the same time K. Michelle debuted one of her new songs, I Don’t Like Me, while at B.B. Kings, as reported on MemphisRap.com.
K. Michelle, who is definitely not short of words, made it quite clear on her Twitter about the incident with Mimi Faust:
You should not have brought your skinny a-s 2my show talking crazy 2me. U got popped. U can’t get mad cuz I think ur boyfriend is down low.
— K.Michelle (@kmichelle) February 21, 2013
Later reports came out that K. Michelle had not actually slapped Mimi, as believed in initial reports but had actually threw a bouquet of flowers that hit Mimi, who was not harmed by it and left it alone.
Mimi responded:
Recalling all of the past incidents with K. Michelle and other cast members, she never seems to wants to talk things out; the end results are always violent. That’s not the type of person I am and to continue to fight with K. Michelle would have been pointless.
Later, Mimi’s new boyfriend, Nikko had words about the gay rumors started by K. Michelle.
The R&B singer states:
You gotta take it from a girl that really don’t have a man figure in her life and that has a lot of issues. Even on the show as a bully with everybody. She has a war with anybody, everybody. She don’t really know me.
She don’t know anything about me. It was just something for her to get ratings or to take a blow at Mimi because Mimi’s happy. I see her as a home wrecker. This is what she’s known for and this is why she don’t have a man.
I’m not homophobic at all. So for her to make those assumptions and those opinions, that’s a strike at the gay community within itself. I don’t have anything against gay people. I’m not gay at all. That’s pretty much what it is.
Nikko and Mimi apparently started dating after Mimi broke up with music producer Stevie J after last season’s drama of Love & Hip Atlanta, where Stevie was likely cheating with his artist Joseline Hernandez.
