In an entertainment field which causes stress and anxiety, celebrity comedian Katt Williams was taken to a hospital in Sumter, SC for mental evaluation after allegedly showing signs of disturbing behavior, as recently reported.
According to motel clerk Marion Donning in a WIS News 10 interview, she thought something was wrong with Katt Williams and called police and had no idea who he was when he tried to check in to the Mt. Vernon Inn at around 8:30am on Friday.
In the video Williams can clearly be seen walking into the hotel alone wearing a bathrobe at which point Donning says Williams then asked about checking in for a few days.
“And when I asked for his ID, he started to look in his pockets and couldn’t find his ID,” Donning said.
Due to Williams not finding his ID in his bathrobe, the comedian left out to a black SUV and brought in a man alongside him.
“I told him he would be responsible for him,” Donning stated. “And at that time the gentleman in the bathrobe (which Donning didn’t know was Katt Williams) said, ‘Well I make $20 million a year, and you’re trying to take responsibility for me?'”
The clerk states that she was just wondering if he was alright because Williams seemed to have lost his composure and squatted at the front door sticking his head out.
Suddenly Williams and the unidentified man left without checking in.
Around noon the same day, Williams went two blocks away to the law office of Garrell Deas according to reports. Deputies were given a probate court order to pick Katt Williams up and drive him to the hospital for a mental evaluation at the Tuomey Regional Medical Center at the request of Williams’ family members who showed up at the attorney’s office later.
Currently no one is for certain if the comedian is still under evaluation or has been released.
On Nov. 5, Katt Williams didn’t show up for an appearance on the Conan O’Brien show, and was later arrested on weapons charges during the same week. On November 20th, Williams is scheduled to appear at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, however this is in question now.
