Dancers and fans of the popular YouTube twerking stars Twerk Team are mourning the death of Betty Butt, one of the founding members of the popular twerk dance team.
Betty Butt, one of the founding, original members of Atlanta’s Twerk Team was reportedly shot in the head and killed in a Cobb County, Atlanta apartment complex during an alleged senseless robbery on Wednesday evening.
While details are still sketchy, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Betty was in her apartment when three assailants attempted a robbery at the Mission at Galleria Apartment complex ending up with Betty Butt being shot in the head.
A man was also shot outside the apartment complex and left wounded.
The three suspects fled the scene following the double shooting and were chased down by police ending in them crashing and being arrested following the chase.
Betty was reportedly treated at the scene of the shooting and then rushed to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The unfortunate death has left fans over social media sites Facebook and Twitter shocked and in mourning as they share their heartwarming posts and tweets including her fellow dance-mate ‘Lady Luscious,’ who wrote on Instagram that it “doesn’t even feel real” that they took her “big sister” away adding “if you love someone hold them close life is too short”.
