A Tennessee man has been charged with prescription fraud after trying to pick up his deceased sister’s Xanax and hydrocodone prescriptions.
Athens, Tennessee’s Douglas Gregory Nichols, 36, tossed on makeup and a wig in an attempt to conceal his identity to pass off as his dead sister.
This isn’t the first time Douglas Nichols has tried to disguise himself as his dead sister, according to Daily Post-Athenian. Sergeant Detective Heith Willis stated that Douglas Gregory Nichols’ first attempt was not long after his sister died and it worked. However, on Nichols’ second try, the pharmacy realized he wasn’t the right person.
Douglas Gregory Nichols is being held at the McMinn County Sheriff’s Department on a $500,000 bond after being arrested on Tuesday.
