Caught on tape is a video of an alleged drunken woman passed out in the driver’s seat of her stopped car in the middle of a busy San Diego freeway as a California Highway Patrol officer tries to awaken her to avoid a crash.
As seen on video, the woman is shown on camera with her head leaned against the driver’s window with her eyes closed as the police officer screams at her trying to awaken her. The officer hits on the window yelling “wake up” as the woman remains unresponsive to his attempts.
After the officer hits the window with his flashlight, the car starts to suddenly roll down the interstate with the woman still passed out.
Thinking fast, the officer smashes out the passenger window yelling for the woman to stop the car before she crashes.
Finally, the woman in the car awakens from slumber as the officer, identified as Sergio Flores, is able to open the door and put the car in park.
The driver, identified as Amber Dlaine McKinney Morgan, 25, was safely rescued from what could have been a horrible incident.
Morgan was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
