From BarCamp To TechCamp Memphis, Geeks and Marketing Conference Is Ready

If you’re looking to learn about or discuss social media, programming languages, Google, Open Source software or even having a home-based business in Memphis, then TechCamp Memphis formally BarCamp Memphis may be the place. TechCamp Memphis, an all-day bi-annual Memphis tech, social & online marketing conference for geeks, techies, graphic designers, online marketers, website administrators, bloggers and social media addicts, will be happening May 12, 2012 at Southwest Tennessee Community College (Macon Campus) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

TechCamp Memphis has something for the newbies to developers and features a number of session topics ranging from “Technology and the Small and Home-Based Business,” “Social Media Strategy: A Panel Discussion,” “Go, Google’s New Language,” “You Can Take It With You! Web Development with jQuery Mobile and Friends” and more. TechCamp Memphis will not just a place to learn, but a place to network, share and contribute to the tech community in Memphis.

Presentations for TechCamp Memphis will last approximately 30 minutes with a 15 minutes Q&A to throw your questions at the community driven conference.

Cost: Individual admission is $20, corporate admission $35 and students $5. There is also a Pay What You Can with a $5 minimum. Registration can be made online at techcampmemphis.com or interested attendees may pay $20 at the door.

The conference is being sponsored by Memphis Flyer, Southwest Tennessee Community College, LunaWeb, Vaco Memphis, Chick-Fil-A, amongst others.
