NCAA Basketball Rolling On

Ladies and gentlemen the brackets are rolling on. This year’s NCAA tournament has been insane from the start. With so many top ranked teams getting beat by unranked teams, there was little to be expected except of course the unexpected.

The world received a shocker yesterday when #1 Kansas went down to Northern Iowa. Wow, no, are you serious? Yes, Kansas is no longer in the running for the championship. Pretty much everyone’s bracket is destroyed. 4.5 million people filled out brackets at ESPN.com saying Kansas would win it all but were sadly wrong with the worst upset of the season thanks to Northern Iowa. It was unbelievable, we were all stunned and looking for Kansas to make that late run but it was not enough. Another huge upset was top ranked Villanova in a game where they lost by 2pts.

The Sweet 16 starts next week and it will be crunch time for the fellas. With top ranked Kentucky, Syracuse, and West Virginia still in the running, it will not be hard to start another great bracket for yourself. Some of the teams that are on the come up are Tennessee, Cornell, Michigan St., and Butler. All those teams are not as popular but they have been getting it done on both ends of the floor to punch their tickets through the big dance and get to the Sweet 16. The games are closer than ever. All the teams are forgetting the rankings and just playing. Let’s see what upsets and excitements happen next.
