Warren Sapp Will Not Face Domestic Charges

Former NFL star and NFL analyst Warren Sapp will NOT face domestic charges. Sapp spent his NFL years playing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Oakland Raiders. Warren was arrested the day before the Superbowl on February 6th in Miami Beach. A woman complained that Sapp choked and pushed her down on the couch in his hotel room. It was said that the two were having an argument and it went sour.

The charges were dropped because the prosecutors say there were too many holes in the victim’s story. She told police that a man helped her walk down a hotel hallway, but surveillance videos showed her walking side by side with a man. She also told police she had trouble walking after the alleged attack, but surveillance footage showed her walking without limping.

The “Victim gave a sworn testimony that she was in excruciating pain from the moment she fell on her knee and was teary-eyed while in the lobby moments after the incident,” the police memo states. “However, there is a security witness who observed the victim giggling with an anonymous man, as well as walking in high heels without any trouble.”

Whatever the situation may be, we’re glad that no one was severely hurt or injured and hopefully Sapp can get back to work as soon as possible by putting this behind him.
