On Monday morning, April 16th, 2007 at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia, one of the most horrific episodes of violence in collegiate history happened within the span of hours. The end result to what many call a massacre was 32 people dead from the helm of a lone psychopathic gunman who in the end turned his gun on himself and committed suicide. Cho Seung-Hui’s 9mm Glock 19 and .22-caliber Walther pistol also claimed injuries to other students who are now hospitalized.

With all the media attention surrounding this shocking event, stories have surfaced about Cho Seung-Hui’s background. So far stories have confirmed that he’s been a volcano waiting to explode for some time now. A former chairwoman of Virginia Tech’s English department and creative writing teacher, Lucinda Roy explained how she had to separate Cho from his classmates because of the anger he expressed explicitly through his writings. Although he never wrote about guns or killing people, she said, his writings were disturbing enough to seek help with the campus police.
