A DVD film of the police brawl that Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr. aka rapper Snoop Doog was allegedly accused of participating in and provoking shows a totally different story.
Snoop Dogg as well as five members of his entourage were all arrested after the brawl at Heathrow Airport in UK of 2006 between Snoop Dogg’s entourage and airport security, which resulted in seven officers being injured.
Now after further investigation has shown that there is no evidence that Snoop Dogg had been responsible for any public disorder and with footage of the DVD showing Snoop Dogg was at no fault in the brawl, the senior immigration judge George Warr has lifted the ban on Snoop Dogg, according to the Guardian News, and the rapper will now be allowed into UK once again.
In January, an immigration judge, Nehar Bird, found there was no evidence the rapper had been responsible for any public disorder or initiating it and ruled that the authorities had failed to show that his exclusion from Britain would be conducive to the public good.
Now, after viewing the DVD, Bird concluded that the incident was “precipitated by decisions made by BA staff and the police.”
“The appellant’s behavior on the DVD did show him interacting with the public,” Bird also stated. “The children were laughing and generally enjoying either dancing or singing or playing music.”
Furthermore, it was proved that Snoop Dogg actually offered full cooperation with the Metropolitan Police when asked to lie face down on the floor of a shop during the brawl and he did not resist as he was handcuffed.
In response to the case, Snoop Dogg’s lawyer Phillip Trot stated, “It has been an appalling waste of public money to pursue this man. It is outrageous that the government is trying to exclude someone who is an innocent figure and has frequently spoken against gang culture and youths carrying guns.”
This definitely comes as good news to Snoop Dogg, as the rapper states that he and British fans share a “mutual love”.
Snoop Dogg is now expected to return back to Britain for the tour his fans have been so eagerly awaiting.
