Twista Disses Congressional Hearing on Hip Hop

The United States Congress is looking to hold its first hearing regarding “stereotypes and degradation” of women in hip-hop lyrics and videos.

The United States Congress is looking to hold its first hearing regarding “stereotypes and degradation” of women in hip-hop lyrics and videos. Its supposedly scheduled to take place on Sept 25. Democratic Representative Bobby Rush of Illinois, chairman of House Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection, is organizing the meeting in order to hear from record executives and companies that release rap music.

Last week Twista responded to Congress man Rush’s comments on his blog with Red eye of Chicago Tribune. “The subjects we rap about come from our lives.” Twista said. “If Rush wrote a story of his life it would have certain things he’s been around in his life.”

He (Twista) went on to question the priorities of the U.S Congress when there are more pertinent issues to address in the world. These are more examples of our own President saying stupider things than you could ever hear in any rap song. Maybe its time to start asking Congress a few questions”.
