Rapper Al Kapone Featured On The Cover of 4Memphis Magazine

For the cover story of 4Memphis Magazine‘s July/August issue, writer Cyrene Wages profiles legendary Memphis rapper, music producer, and businessman Al Kapone, also known as Alphonzo Bailey.

In the cover story, writer Cyrene Wages gives readers a glimpse into how Al Kapone grew up and how his life experiences were the driving force behind getting him to where he’s at now.

“As a kid, even though we were living in poverty. I didn’t know it. I knew I didn’t have some name brands I wanted, and I knew it was a money problem, but I didn’t really feel it. I had a community. We had fun doing typical things like being outside with friends, talking about music…”

In the feature interview, Al Kapone goes on to talk about how he started witnessing things you shouldn’t as he grew older and the knowledge his mother gave him to live by.
