Memphis Rapper Big Scarr Dies From Prescription Drug Overdose

Memphis rapper Big Scarr, born Alexander Woods, 22, died following a prescription drug overdose on Thursday.

Big Scarr was signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records.

According to media outlet TMZ, Arthur Woods, the uncle of Big Scarr, told them that he overdosed at his girlfriend’s house and it was unknown when he obtained the prescription drugs.

His uncle is also stated to have mentioned that Big Scarr suffered from a number of injuries and traumatic experiences. Big Scarr’s injuries include being in a serious car accident when he was a teenager—hence the name “Big Scarr,” and being shot.

His death is still under investigation.

Big Scarr is most known for the singles “SoIcyBoyz” (featuring Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, and Tay Keith) and “Grim Reaper.”

He was scheduled to tour on Key Glock’s upcoming 2023 Glockoma Tour.
