According to tweets made on Lil Wayne’s Twitter, the YMCMB rapper wants off of Cash Money Records and says the label’s co-founder Bryan ‘Birdman’ Williams won’t release “Tha Carter V” and basically says he’s “a prisoner” on the label.
In a series of tweets over Lil Wayne’s Twitter account, the post start out by apologizing to his fans for his album not releasing.
The posts then say Lil Wayne wants off the label and wants “nothing to do” with the people of Cash Money anymore.
The tweets add that Wayne is “a prisoner” and says so is his “creativity.”
It is unclear whether the tweets actually come from Lil Wayne as it could be that the rapper’s account may have been hacked but for now it looks as though Lil Wayne wants nothing more to do with Cash Money Records although the tweets say “it ain’t that easy” to get off the label.
Check out the series of tweets speaking about “Tha Carter V,” Cash Money Records and Birdman.
