Goalie Tim Howard Got ‘Fired Up’ To Memphis Rapper Lil Wyte At USA World Cup

Everton Football Club’s goalkeeper Tim Howard who represented the United States men’s national soccer team for the USA World Cup apparently revealed during their USA World Cup performance that he gets ‘fired up’ for matches by listening to music by Memphis rapper Lil Wyte.

“It’s like a me-against-the-world kind of thing,” the Everton FC soccer goalie explained, reported UK’s Liverpool Echo just a short while ago on last month.

But it’s apparently not just any song by Lil Wyte that got Howard fired up, it was Lil’ Wyte’s 2007 hip hop music single Talkin’ Ain’t Walkin’.

Howard, who grew up in North Brunswick, New Jersey, the son on an African-American father and a Hungarian mother, also credited his goalkeeping success to his two children (whom Howard has tattooed on his body) — Alivia and Jacob — and to his strong Christian faith.

The song “Talkin’ Ain’t Walkin'” comes off Lil Wyte’s album The One & Only released in 2007 on Asylum Records and Hypnotize Minds, home to Three 6 Mafia.

In related news, Lil Wyte tells MemphisRap.com that he’s working on his forthcoming studio album “Still Doubted” which is slated to release sometime September 2010, in which, around the same time, the rapper will be performing at the MemphisRap.com produced event Memphis Hip Hop Weekend & Expo 2010 sponsored by media sponsor Memphis Flyer. The Memphis Hip Hop Expo 2010 will be held at the Cook Convention Center on September 3-4, 2010 in Downtown Memphis, TN.

Wyte is currently back and forth performing at various venues in the U.S. in promotion of the new album and mixtape projects released under Wyte’s own label Wyte Music along with CEO of Gain Green Entertainment and business associate, rapper Partee who will also be performing at the 1st Annual Memphis Hip Hop Expo and has a new mixtape album “KingSh*t” slated for release September also.

Wyte can as well be found on the upcoming DJ Smallz hosted mixtape “Trap Addict” slated for an August release featuring Lil Wyte, Partee and newly signed to Wyte Music recording artist JellyRoll. The latest single off of the mixtape is “Pop Another Pill” by JellyRoll featuring Lil Wyte. A new music video for “Pop Another Pill” which is directed by Partee with production by Drumma Drama was recently released in promotion of the mixtape release.
