Chrishun ‘Rapstar’ Moore Funeral Service Brings Fans, Politicians, Artists

Family, friends and fans attended the funeral for young hip-hop rapper Chrishun ‘Rapstar’ Moore on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church at 2237 South Parkway East in Memphis, TN. The rising rapper died on December 30 at the age of 21, as reported on MemphisRap.com. He was pronounced dead after suffering from a heart attack.

Female rap artist, songwriter and activist P. Moses, to whom Moore was a protege of, calls Moore a genuinely talented person who will not be forgotten.

Rapstar was making his marks in the Industry starting as a young teen by participating in events and talent shows. In 2008, Rapstar became the opening act for hip hop artist Bow Wow. Rapstar would later open for recording artists Yo Gotti and R&B singer Pleasure P. In 2009, Rapstar became the opening act for Young Jeezy and Plies.

Former rap artist, current State House of Representative (politician) and friend to Chrishun Moore and his family, Antonio ‘2 Shay’ Parkinson spoke of his attendance at the young rapper’s funeral.

“At the home going for Little Brother [Chrishun Moore]. Praying for the comfort of my dear friend Shauna Moore. The line to get in is across the parking lot. He had alot of life in him and obviously impacted alot of other lives based on the amount of people that are here to send him off. God bless and comfort the family,” stated State Rep. Parkinson.

Chrishun ‘Rapstar’ Moore leaves behind three kids, a host of family and friends who enjoyed not only his music, but his character.
