Memphis Grizzlies vs. Golden State Warriors

In last night’s 123-107 win over the Golden State Warriors, our Memphis Grizzlies showed many of their true talents. Led by Zach Randolph with 20pts, 13reb, 4ast, 1stl, the Grizzlies cruised to another much needed home win. The high man for the Warriors was Monta Ellis bringing in 28pts, 1reb, 3ast, 5stl in a losing effort. Our Grizzlies handed the Warriors their 13th straight loss.

“There’s not much you can do as a coach,” Warriors coach Don Nelson said. “You can’t match up. You’ve got to play with what you have, and go to your strength. You can’t really make anybody pay the price of a matchup.” While the Grizzlies had not played since Wednesday in a close win against Houston, the Warriors were on the 2nd end of a back to back. Coming into this game, not only were the Warriors pretty much tired from the start of the game but they were also short-handed.

“I take into consideration that they didn’t have the same juice that they had [Friday] night,” Coach Lionel Hollins said. “Traveling here and having the pace that they usually have pushed back at them. I saw [Stephen] Curry sucking air a little bit. I know he was tired as well as the rest of the team.” We will take the wins anyway they come pretty or not.

The Grizzlies have no time to rest. The team is currently on a flight to Sacramento, CA to face off against Memphis’ own Tyreke Evans and the Sacramento Kings. We are anxious to see the point guard match up of Evans and Conley. The game will air tomorrow March 22 at 8:30 pm on Fox Sports South.
