Grizzlies vs. Houston Rockets: Caught by the 3pt Sensation

In a loss of 107-94 against the Houston Rockets Wednesday our Memphis Grizzlies were in a fight to the finish. Led by Zach Randolph who put up 30pts, 14 rebs, 2 assts, 1 blk, was not enough as Memphis was a victim of the 3pt sensation known as Aaron Brooks. Brooks who scored 31 pts, 5 reb, 4 assts for the Rockets 4th straight win had one of the best games of his career. Setting the Rockets franchise record for 3 pointers made with no misses, Aaron put the Rockets in the 9th place in the West.

“The effort was there and we played hard,” Mike Conley said. “They just shot the ball so well.”. The Grizzlies did play a great game for 3 qtrs. The Grizz took full advantage of the lopsided match-up in the paint and scored 50 easy pts in the lane. But, then here comes Brooks once again saying he does not need to go in the lane. “He killed us,” Zach said. “He was pulling up and hitting 3s once he was crossing midcourt.” Brooks was basically telling the Grizzlies if you don’t guard me, I will pull up on you, hit me with your best defense.

The Memphis Grizzlies will need to hurry if they want to get back on the right side of the Western Conference playoff picture. We know they can, because they have beaten all the playoff teams. It’s just like Luis Scola says “It’s less than a month away from the end of the season.” “We’ve just got to win games in any possible way. Ugly? So be it.
