Rapper Yukmouth of Rap-A-Lot Records Arrested, Bail Set At $40k

Earlier today MemphisRap.com was contacted and told by a source that Smoke-A-Lot Records/Rap-A-Lot Records recording artist Yukmouth of Oakland, California was arrested for an outstanding warrant. MemphisRap.com has confirmed the information that Jerold Ellis “Yukmouth” was indeed arrested on Sunday, June 3, 2007. The Los Angeles Sheriff Department told MemphisRap.com that the rapper was charged with a misdemeanor traffic charge, yet bail was set at $40,000.

The LAPD also told MemphisRap.com that the rapper was arrested for driving on a suspended license. The sources that contacted MemphisRap.com stated that the rapper was arrested around 4:30 AM, which was confirmed and he was booked at 6:49 AM. An official from the LAPD stated that the rapper was still in jail after 4:00 PM on today.

Representatives of Rap-A-Lot Records were unavailable at the time of his arrest.
