Reportedly T.I., born Clifford Joseph Harris, is being sued by his 29-year-old ex-girlfriend, Lashon Dixon whom he has two boy ages 7 and 8 with from a past relationship.
Dixon is asking the court for money equal to the now successful rapper’s income because at the time of their relationship, T.I. was not the huge successful rapper he is today or bringing in as much income. Dixon and Harris have known each other since their teen years, before Harris became well-established rapper T.I., the multiplatinum-selling “King of the South.”
Earlier this year, the rapper entered a guilty plea deal on March 2008 to multiple weapons charges at a federal courthouse in Atlanta for purchasing illegal guns from an undercover agent. T.I. was sentenced to a year in jail, which he’ll begin serving after completing at least 1,000 hours of a total 1,500 hours of community service, talking to youth groups about guns, gangs and drugs.
T.I. has two more boys with his fiancee, former Xscape member, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle.
In related news, the rapper’s forthcoming album entitled Paper Trail is slated to hit stores on September 30. The album features hit single “Whatever You Like,” which is in it’s third week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
