Hotel heiress Paris Hilton was released from jail looking fresh and smiling at around 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday from the Century Regional Detention Facility.
Prior to getting into the SUV, Paris hugs her mother through the passenger window and then jumps in before getting tackled by a swarm of press and fans which the sheriffs clears out of the way for the vehicle to make its exit. Hilton waved to everyone and blew kisses as the vehicle drove off.
In a statement released by Paris she stated, “This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. I have had a lot of time to reflect, and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience.”
Paris Hilton reportedly went to her grandparents’ home after being followed for miles by paparazzi.
Paris Hilton served 23 days of her 45 day sentence at the Lynwood women’s prison in Los Angeles, earning an early release due to good behavior. Her probation remains in effect until March 2009.
She is scheduled to give her first post-jail interview on CNN’s “Larry King Live” on Wednesday, after ABC and NBC dropped offers last week to grant her a major broadcast network exclusive.
