MemphisRap.com, who has served as the authority on hip-hop in Memphis since 2001, has announced its upcoming print publication Memphis Rap Magazine scheduled to release in April 2020.
The announcement was made by Memphis Rap’s Co-Founder and Director Hosea ‘M-Town’ Mays, Jr. Memphis Rap Magazine will be available in print and digitally via online retailers such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBook as well as at supermarkets and retail stores throughout the Memphis and Mid-South area. A second issue will be released in July as the magazine is set for quarterly issuance.
Memphis Rap Magazine will offer an array of topics driven by trends, the community and insiders who provide their perspective on the city, neighborhoods and night spots. Memphis Rap Magazine will also feature interviews, reviews, top lists and more in the pilot issue.
“Memphis Rap Magazine, will be a free magazine that will cover everything from hip-hop culture to car culture to food and nightlife,” said Mays. “Memphis Rap has long been a major influence in not just the South but the hip-hop industry overall. Approaching 20-years now operating MemphisRap.com, I felt a current void in the communities of the city. There are some great Memphis publications out but there is simply no ‘hip’ magazine to pick-up that speaks for us – the hip hop generation, therefore, we are going to make an expansion of the website in print form. Memphis deserves a hip new magazine filled with exclusive content on the talented people that make our city what it is.”
Memphis Rap Magazine is scheduled to be released in April of 2020 and will be available for free.
