Gangster and gentleman

Gangster and gentleman, the new black man. The black men in the United States have always obtained strength and power. They have known for generations that they must remain hard at the core for them to be respected in this country by all other races, but most importantly by black women. In addition, black men know that they must also attain the characteristics of a gentleman. Webster’s New Word Dictionary defines gentleman as a courteous, gracious, and honorable man. Kendall Ficklin lists qualities of a man as priest, king, warrior/soldier, character, disciplined, accountable, committed, servant, visionary, and leader. Ficklin goes on to state;
