The tour will jump off starting July 24 as reported by MTV. The dates and cities for the tour is expected to be announced sometime next week, as well as the other acts who will take part in the tour.
Previous artists to take part in the “Scream Tour” are Ne-Yo, Bow Wow, B2K, Chris Brown, Nick Cannon, Pretty Ricky and Omarion.
In other news, T.I. is expected to release his album “T.I. vs T.I.P” on July 3, 2007. The album will include guest features by R. Kelly, Akon, Eminem, Justin Timberlake, Ciara, Lil Wayne, Nelly, Wyclef Jean, Jay-Z, Andre 3000, Busta Rhymes and others.
T.I. explained the album’s title, saying, “It’s basically a battle within myself, there’s not nobody out there doing what I do as well as I do it, so I see myself as worthy competition for myself.”
As for Ciara, who is the first female to headline the “Scream Tour”, she has been dipping into acting. Ciara will co-star with Patti LaBelle in the upcoming film, “Mama, I Want to Sing!”, which is based on the off-Broadway musical. The movie is scheduled to start shooting sometime in June in Louisiana and is expected be released in theaters in February 2008.
In addition, Ciara recently became the new face of Jay-Z’s Rocawear women campaign entitled “I Will Not Lose”, which debuts this fall.
