Appearance Made At BET Awards 2006 Is Not The Last For An Outkast Reunion

First, I must commend Black Entertainment Television for bringing some of the best moments in our music world and history. I was smiling like many others that are Outkast fans, when they appeared together, publicly. I know it’s been months since I’ve seen them together. But, it has been stated that both members of Outkast have been very busy and successful in their endeavors, on the solo tip. But for the 2006, they bring an ultimate reunion for their Outkast fans. Coming soon, Idlewild will be at your local theatres along with their double album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, which is also doubling as the soundtrack to the movie musical.

Idlewild takes places in the 1930s and has that 30s-inspired music, you know how Outkast does it, with a hip theme. I’ve seen the trailer and it’s not bad: filled with drama, romance, gangstafied plus funk-da-fied plots and scenes. With an All-Star cast including Ben Vereen, Cicely Tyson, Macy Gray, Terrance Howard, Faizon Love, Bruce Bruce, Patti Labelle and Ving Rhames, Idlewild may top the charts for sure. According to Andre 3000, whatever you liked about Outkast in the past, you’ll be pleased on August 25. “Believe me,” he stated. The album is scheduled to hit the racks on August 22. So, keep your eyes and ears open for the reunion of Outkast, and let’s hope and pray that it continues. FUNK ON!!
