Police Called To Chaos At Funeral Of Memphis 3 Yr Old Maurice Brown

As tension surrounds the death of three year-old, Maurice Brown Jr, hundreds came out in remembrance of the little boy whose funeral was held on Saturday after allegedly being murdered by his father 28 year-old aspiring rapper Maurice Brown Sr.

According to reports, an altercation almost took place after comments were made regarding Maurice Brown Sr over the care of his 3 year-old son. Reportedly, a man came in to the front of the church at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church and stated that Brown, Sr ‘wasn’t being a father. ‘

The comments of the man resulted in the man believed to be a cousin of Maurice Brown, Sr being restrained and taken out of the church after exchanging words with another man as several people allegedly followed as authorities were called.

Rev. James Collins, who officiated at the funeral, admitted that anger is part of the grieving process and the situation was already volatile.

Meanwhile, Maurice Brown Sr, has been charged with first degree murder in the perpetration of aggravated child abuse, murder in the perpetration of aggravated child neglect and resisting official dentition.
