Memphis Grammys NARAS will be holding the Indie Impact Seminar & Showcase which will be a daylong series of panels focused on independent artists and labels. Some of the key people who will take part in the seminar will be Michael Watts, founder & CEO of Swisha House Records, label consultant Wendy Day, artist Lil Keke, Lindsey Collins (VP of operations for CD Baby), entertainment attorney Tonya Butler, producer/mixer Billy Hume (Ying Yang Twins, Nelly, Ludacris..), Rick Reed of eMusic, Wes Phillips of Select-O-Hits and many more. The panels will include a range of topics focusing on Indie v. Major: What’s Your Goal?, Keep Hustlin’: Marketing, Public Relations, Promotions, HQ: Label Operations, Management, Booking & Contracts, etc..
After the daylong series of panels the Impact Seminar will end with an independent music showcase featuring the top indie rock and urban artists in the Mid-South at 8:30 p.m.
