The former Playboy Playmate and reality TV star, Anna Nicole Smith, was finally laid to rest in the Bahamas on yesterday, over three weeks after she died in a Florida hotel suite at the age of 39.

Smith was buried Friday after a 90-minute church ceremony attended by 300 mourners which is disputed by other reports that say there were fewer than 100 guests at the service.

Howard K Stern, Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer, spoke during the service and spoke of Smith’s “so-called family members” and vowed to continue to protect Smith even in death.

Smith’s estranged mother Virgie Arthur was also at the service along with Smith’s former boyfriend Larry Birkhead which both also took turns eulogizing the 39-year-old Smith.

Howard K Stern, Virgie Arthur, and Larry Birkhead are still all battling for custody of Anna Nicole’s 5-month-old Dannielynn.

After the funeral, the coffin was moved to Lake View cemetery, where Anna Nicole Smith was later buried next to her 20-year-old son, Daniel, who died in September of an apparent drug overdose while visiting Smith in the hospital after she gave birth.
