According to reports Slip-N-Slide Records was awarded $9.1 Million in a Pitbull Trial on Wednesday March 14th. The label is stated to be receiving $2.3 in compensatory damages and $6.8 in punitive damages from record label TVT Records.

The lawsuit comes after a 2005 legal battle between the two labels (Slip-N-Slide Records and TVT Records) over the release of “Welcome To The 305” by Texas rapper Pitbull. The suit claimed that TVT sent dozens of letters to Slip-N-Slide’s distributors and wholesale buyers saying the album was illegally recorded.

The decision for the the 11-day trial on Wednesday was finished with three words by Slip-N-Slide CEO Ted Lucas where he told the Miami Herald that
