Crunchy Black Celebrates Return, New Album With Performance in Memphis

Rapper Crunchy Black has returned on the scene and will be celebrating his return with performances at the Hi-Tone in Midtown Memphis this weekend.

Crunchy Black’s Da Real Hard Hittas Inc. & venue Hi-Tone will be presenting performances by Crunchy Black from past releases and Black is expected to be performing songs/tracks from his new upcoming album “Knowledge is the Key.”

For the past 2 years, the former member of Three Six Mafia, Crunchy Black has been pretty quiet and off the scene since his split from Three 6 Mafia back in 2006 except for a few Crunchy Black sightings such the one seen here in a photo taken with Memphisrap.com’s Deanna Brown at Alfred’s on Beale Street in Downtown Memphis.

Now, Black claims things are looking up as as he’s working on recording his new album.

“Things are looking up for the new album that I have been working on,” states Black. “I would like to thank God and all of my fans who have supported my moves over the past 2 years. For those who dont support my moves this means i will just have to work harder to earn your respect once again…,” Black added.

Memphisrap.com has also learned that Black will have a feature in The Commercial Appeal’s Playbook this week about his new album and future endeavors. The feature is written by freelance journalist Andria Lisle of the Memphis Music Confidential.

The rapper’s performance show will be Friday, December 26, 2008 at the Hi-Tone at 1913 Poplar Ave. Memphis Tn. 38104.
