Rapper Common and singer John Legend, who’s in the news for his GQ photoshoot with his sexy wife Chrissy Teigen, are set to perform the Oscar nominated song “Glory” from the movie Selma at the upcoming 87th annual Academy Awards 2015.
Over Twitter, John Legend shared a tweet saying that he was “honored” that the Academy Awards invited them to perform at the 2015 Oscars.
The powerful song “Glory” has basically become the anthem for the civil rights drama Selma which is based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches led by James Bevel, Hosea Williams, Martin Luther King Jr and John Lewis.
The movie Selma stars Common as well as Cuba Gooding, Jr, Oprah Winfrey and others in the film which hit theaters back in December.
The 2015 Academy Awards is scheduled to take place February 22nd at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.
