Jada Pinkett Smith Responds To Janet Hubert aka Aunt Viv For Slamming Her Over Oscars Boycott

Janet Hubert aka the original Aunt Vivian Banks of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air called out Jada and Will Smith on the stir-up of boycotting the Oscars sparked by Jada’s comments of the Oscars’ lack of diversity and nominations of people of color.

Aunt Viv claims she found it “ironic” that Jada would talk about boycotting the same people that has helped make Jada and Will millions in their career.

Hubert also added that Will Smith could speak for himself and didn’t need Jada who she claims was only making the comments because Will Smith didn’t make a nomination for his lead role in the movie Concussion.

Jada responded back saying that it really isn’t about the Oscars but more about all communities and people of color taking back “our” power and finding ways to come together instead of fighting each other.

In related news, Will Smith responded to the Oscar boycotting sparked by his wife’s comments but refused to address Hubert’s comments.
