New York, NY – The indefatigable DAVID BANNER, a “leader of the New South” (Vibe 2003) and “a friggin’ genius” (Spin 2003), is set to release a new album, MTA2 – Baptized In Dirty Water on December 23, 2003. The critically-acclaimed rapper released his Top 10 debut CD Mississippi: The Album on SRC/Universal Records earlier this year in May.
When asked about releasing two albums in 2003, BANNER responds “Amidst all the touring and promoting for Mississippi: The Album, I never stopped working on songs for the next album and before you knew it I had an album’s worth of stellar songs completed. I wanted to outwork those artists who are satisfied with minimal success so I decided to put another album out.”
