One Memphis minister who is accused of spreading more than the gospel is set to serve jail time for his crime.
A Memphis minister has been charged with Criminal Exposure to HIV after he held a sexual relationship with a church member after knowingly testing positive for HIV.
As reported on MemphisRap.com, Rodney Carr is a 48 year-old former assistant minister at Fellowship of Believers In Christ Church who had sexual relations with a 35 year-old married woman he met at church although the minister was aware that he had HIV.
Apparently, Carr had been aware that he tested positive for HIV since 2005 at the time he was having relations with the woman.
The woman, the victim in the case, apparently was unaware because she says the minister never told her he had HIV since he met her.
The woman reportedly only discovered that she herself was positive for HIV after the end of their relationship.
The minister is now facing 3 to 6 years in prison for Criminal Exposure to HIV when he comes up for sentencing this October.
