Roy Jones Jr vs Bernard Hopkins Fight Recap, 12 Rounds; Hopkins Collapses

This was the fight for the ages. Bernard Hopkins defeated Roy Jones Jr by unanimous decision. The two previously fought back in the early 90’s so they were familiar with each other. A little bad blood was flowing through the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, NV for the two.

Both, over the age of 40, still, managed to last 12 rounds.

Hopkins, who took an illegal blow behind the head from Jones Jr, quickly rose up and started going head to head. Seemingly your thinking, well, that is what he is suppose to do, but the round was over. The ref quickly stepped in between the two.

Just like 17 years ago, Hopkins came away with the title.

After the fight, Hopkins went to his dressing room while changing clothes, he collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital and will be kept there overnight.
