Redskins’ Donovan McNabb Denies Wanting Reunion with Terrell Owens

The new Washington Redskins QB Donovan McNabb still has to fight off rumors of him and former teammate Terrell Owens planning a reunion.

Sources were saying that McNabb went to the head of the Redskins franchise to beg to get Owens a spot on the team. Even though these two could not get along when they were teammates and roughly became enemies, no one could believe them wanting to play together again.

McNabb quickly cleared up a lot of the rumors and denied wanting a reunion with Owens.

“I never said that to anyone about T.O. It’s just not true,” McNabb said. “I’m in a new place, trying to get comfortable, not start anything or push for anything. I am very happy with the receivers I have.”

That is the best thing for McNabb to do is to get to know his new team.

Terrell Owens, who played this past season with the Buffalo Bills, became a free agent and will be looking for a home in the NFL again.

Mike Shanahan of the Washington Redskins franchise quickly responded to the rumors as well of possibly getting Owens saying “We are not going in that direction.”

The Redskins did not want the drama that T.O. brings on and off the field. He is a nice guy, but no one can deny that he comes with major baggage. Maybe, we’ll have to wait and see how McNabb establishes himself at a new team first before trying to get someone else on.
