Opening Day in Major League Baseball: Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees

The Major League Baseball season started off with a bang. The first game of the season for The Boston Red Sox came with a 9-7 win over the New York Yankees.

What? The New York Yankees lost? Are you serious? Yes, the champs lost, but it was not a pretty win for Boston. Being down practically the whole game, they had to fight hard and fast to tie the game up at 7 in the 5th inning.

By the 9th inning, all the Yankee fans knew was that this was not their day.

Boston has done it again by showing up big at the start of the season. This may be one of the greatest building blocks for the Red Sox. Known for cruising past teams in early April but having much trouble down the May stretch, they needed to seal this deal today.
