Memphis Grizzlies Took on the Houston Rockets; Preps Final Home Game

Another game against the Houston Rockets, another loss for the Memphis Grizzlies as they fall 113-103 to the team that has beaten them all 4 meetings this year. The Memphis Grizzlies pounded the boards early to take a huge lead, but could not stop those pesky Rockets. Houston is the only team that Memphis has not beaten at least once this season. A big part of the loss that night was Kevin Martin.

Martin, who was newly acquired from the Sacramento Kings practically LIVED at the line tonight. Doing any and everything he could to get a call, the refs remained at his attention.

“They have a lot of tough match-ups for us,” coach Lionel Hollins said. “Aaron Brooks, one game gets 7 of 7 from 3s and torches us. Then, Luis Scola goes and gets 30 points and torches us. Tonight, it’s Kevin Martin. They just have a lot of guys we don’t match up well with.”

Memphis will not make the playoff this year, but they are setting the bar high for their chances next season. The last and final home game will be on Saturday April 10th, everyone should come out and support the movement.
