Memphis Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins agreed to a 3-year contract extension. Hollins, who was brought on after the firing of Marc Iavaroni on January 2009, has made some great Grizzlies history already.
Grizzlies did not make the playoffs but, it is certainly within their near future.
The team started off really slow at 1-8 mainly because no one knew if Allen Iverson would even play and even return when he left.
Coach Hollins was in talks with the franchise for weeks, and after speaking with owner Michael Heisley, the deal was finalized.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed however, they have to be great because the franchise has 16 more wins than last year alone.
