Grizzlies vs. Dallas Mavericks: Too Many Turnovers

The Grizzlies fell to the Dallas Mavericks 110-84. This was one of Memphis’s worse felt losses this season. We just could not get it going especially with the turnovers. There were 20 turnovers in the game which is a season high.

“It was unbelievable, the turnovers,” coach Lionel Hollins said. “We just kept giving them the ball, giving them the ball, and they’d run it down our throat or shoot 3s. Then they were moving the ball really well one stretch, and every time they moved it to an open guy he made a shot. That just broke our will.”

“You can’t quit,” Conley said. “We have goals like making the playoffs, and we understand that we aren’t in it, but we still have to be able to play no matter who we are playing or no matter who is out on the court. We have to play at 100 percent effort and we didn’t bring that tonight.”

That statement is terribly true, you have to continue to play even if your not in the playoff picture to get your heads ready for next year. It’s all a mind mentality thing.

The Grizzlies are now at .500 with a record of 39-39. They look to go one up on the 76ers to be 40-39 this Saturday here in Memphis. Come out and support our Men.
