Elite 8: Day 1, The Race to the Final Four

This year’s NCAA tournament has been bizarre so why would this game be any less of that. Last night, West Virginia pulled the ultimate upset of 73-66 on the Kentucky Wildcats. WVU advances to their 1st final four appearance since 1959. It seemed like WVU could not miss from beyond the arc last night.

In WVU’s huddles, coach Huggins must have said you get a 3, you get a 3, you get a 3, oh and Kentucky no you don’t get a 3. Kentucky missed their first twenty 3pt shot attempts. The Wildcats ended up being 4-34 on the night. Alot more brackets were extremely busted with this victory.

The 2nd game of the night was Butler vs. Kansas State. Butler defeating K. State 63-56 has been just one of their most impressive moves. Has anyone noticed the Butler Bulldogs, because they are now on a 24 game win streak trying to make it to a few more. Not only are the Bulldogs streaking, but they will get the advantage to play close to their home in the final four.

The 2nd games of the elite 8 are later today. The Bulldogs will play Michigan St.

The team for WVU has not been decided yet.
