Does Reality Show “Basketball Wives” Put NBA Players in a Negative Light?

Where to start, where…. to start. NBA player Shaquille O’Neal’s ex wife Shaunie came up with the idea of a show named “Basketball Wives.” The show is filled with ladies that are NOT wives, but they are mostly ex-girlfriends talking about their experiences with the players. The only wife on the show is Jennifer who is still married to Eric Williams, but that seems it might be over with, before the show ends.

Even though the intentions by Shaunie were good, the show has not been so receptive to the public eye. Most view the ladies as groupies and gold diggers.

Shaq is trying to stop production on the show because it shows NBA players in a negative light and all players are not like that. It does make the players look like flirts that will do their women any kind of way just to satisfy themselves sexually. But, Shaq should understand that controversy SELLS, everyone wants to see a little drama on television.

The ladies heard from Cincinnati Bengals Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson when he went in on them on his twitter page. The Basketball wives went to a party on the show that was said to be Chad’s and called it “whack.” He countered and called them “Old and groupies.”

The ladies reveal a lot on this show whether its in a negative or positive way, but the show will not leave the air because we all are wondering what the beautiful Basketball Wives will do next.
