Chicago Bulls fire head coach Vinny Del Negro; In No Rush For New Coach?!

Chicago Bulls head coach Vinny Del Negro was terminated. As if this comes as a big surprise for many because there have been talks of this decision for a few months now.

Del Negro was a great coach for the Chicago franchise, although he was no Phil Jackson, he was a coach that made excellent decisions for his team. Vinny, while coaching the Bulls, left with a record of 82-82 and had 2 playoff appearances with them that both ended in the 1st round.

Vinny and Chicago Bull’s vice president attitudes clashed over minutes for Joakim Noah. Joakim, who recently came off an injury wanted to play more, Vinny wanted him to play more, but the front office wanted his minutes limited.

Del Negro did not want to disobey, however, he did want to put his team in the best position to win games and Noah had to be on the floor. Sources say Vinny was NOT fired for this, but you do the math.

Former Memphis Tiger Derrick Rose has shown out every game since he was drafted #1 overall to Chicago. We all wonder who will be his coach now, whomever it may be they have a strong Memphis Tiger to lead their team to a lot of wins.

Reports say Chicago Bulls are making no rush decisions to bring on a new coach.
