Is it another road win for the road surging Grizzlies or is Boston’s age catching up with them? Tonight’s victory of 111-91 over Boston was the Grizzlies 7th road win, a franchise’s best. This was a blowout before it even reached the 2nd qtr. You talk about the Grizzlies not being playoff ready, but Tuesday showed a young and hungry team.
Can someone tell Me what is going on with Boston.. is it old age? The big three: Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce are all over 32yrs of age but still have the heart, fight, and hunger in them. Boston’s Kendrick Perkins stated earlier this week “We are bored with the regular season, we are waiting for the playoffs.” Boston has to get right now, the playoffs are right around the corner.
Boston’s point guard and leading scorer Rajon Rondo, with 17pts, 8ast, 1rb, seemed to be the only one with energy tonight. “They just came in and totally annihilated us,” said Kevin Garnett, “We’re not looking down to May and April right now, right now we need to be taking care of March. That’s the mindset. We’ve got to do it soon, and do it immediately.”
The Celtics were booed by their own fans at halftime and it did not stop there. The fans started to storm out in the middle of the 4th qtr. This was a great win for the Grizzlies franchise, players minds, and the city. This road streak is continuing. Now let’s go out there and get a home win streak also. The city of Memphis was proud tonight with our hardworking young men.
