Millionaire Status Records was founded by Joseph Ballard Jr in 2008. Him and his business partner/cousin Daniel Hawthorne decided to begin they’re own company starting from the ground up. In 2008 they only had 2 artist which was the founder himself going by the name Jo Jigga and his business partner going by the name D-Low tha Don. Near the end of 2008 Millionaire Status found themself at a stand still, Business partner Daniel was in jail for murder and in 2009 was sentence to 30 years in a Mississippi State Penitentiary. Jo Jigga moved to Atlanta and started making songs and networking but run in with the law started to slow him down. He decided to move again to Memphis, Tn in 2010 to be closer to his family. In Memphis he ran across to artist who he sign to the label one’s a North Memphis Rapper who goes by the name Black $tarr and a Delta Mississippi Rapper who goes by the name Black Swagga. Jo Jigga also sign a childhood friend from Mississippi who goes by the name $lim Money. In 2012 Millionaire Status added another Delta Mississippi Rapper to the roster he goes by the 180 Da Show. Millionaire Status has three mixtape out now and is working on releasing 5 more before the year is over.
