FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Godfellow invites public to be part of debut video
Memphis artist GODFELLOW will be shooting a debut video for his new single “It’s F***ed Up.” The video will be directed by rising filmaker Nina Stakz (Broom Hill, 40 Kel, Mac Gutta). Fans and aspiring actors and dancers are invited to be a part of the storytelling as video extras. Scheduled for Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 10:00A.M., the video will be shot at Pleasant View Apartments, 3157 STEELE ST. MEMPHIS, TN 38127, (by Frayser High School).
“It’s F***ed Up” is from Godfellow’s up and coming mixtape Look at My Life: the Mixtape Doc-true-mentary. He wrote the song about the current political and economic times in the United States and felt his expletive title perfectly fits the situation our modern culture finds itself facing daily. Suavo Jones produced the project.
Security will be strictly enforced and video extras are urged to arrive at 9:30am and will be needed until 3:00pm. Water and refreshments will be provided for all extras.
Rapper, entrepreneur, philanthropist, writer and actor, Godfellow is not your typical Memphis artist. Godfellow was born Cortez Antwan Currie March 5, 1985 in Memphis, Tn to Katherine Pratcher and James Currie. Godfellow grew up with music in his blood. As a child at 13 years old Godfellow started his first group called the Remedies as he grew into the industry. He started promoting for different artist such as but not limited to Young Enz, Daniel Sage, Playa Fly, Yung D, 8Ball & MJG and P. Diddy . He has conquered the promotion game now he is garnering respect as an artist in the rap game with songs like “It’s F***ed Up”, “On the Grind”, and “High Forever’’ and the list goes on. People ask him, What is your motivation? He says one word “GOD”, his daily scripture is Palsm 65:11 “Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy path drop fatness. He says this every morning to remind himself that God has his hand on his life, and that he will be successful.“Failure is not an option.” At the end of the day I am an artist with a testimony and message.
