It is not only the family and relatives of slain journalist James Foley who are urging social media users not to watch the beheading video of the American journalist.
Twitter and Facebook have taken steps against posters of the video of a man with a British accent beheading the American journalist, James Foley.
The social media giants are not only removing videos shared over their social media sites but are doing much more.
If a video surfaces on an account on Twitter, Facebook or Youtube they are taking steps to close the account.
They are not the only ones encouraging users not to post or share the video as social users themselves are sharing the hashtag #ISISmediaBlackout urging others not to share the video.
Meanwhile, there are opposers online who are reportedly urging their supporters to keep posting the video to terrorize Americans.
